The 2016 review session of the Customs General Administration was held on 17 January 2017 at the Ulaanbaatar Customs. The meeting was attended by each of the organizational unit of the Headquarter and collaboratively reviewed their reports and discussed their future activities and prospects.

HEADS OF CUSTOMS CONSULTATIVE MEETING 2017

The 2017 Consultative meeting of the Customs Heads was held successfully in Darkhan on 26-28 January 2017. During the Consultative meeting, the directors reviewed and evaluated the 2016 activities, discussed and learned from their mistakes and achievements, signed their activity plan for 2017 and held a number of plenary sessions.

THE FINANCE MINISTER VISITS THE CUSTOMS GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

Officials led by the Finance Minister of Mongolia, B.Choijilsuren, visited and worked at the Customs General Administration on the 12th of January 2017. The entire management of the Customs General Adminstration were present during the working visit and presented their activities to the Finance Ministry officials.

ULAANBAATAR CUSTOMS ORGANIZED A TRAINING ON THE UNIFORM APPLICATION OF THE REVISIONS TO THE CUSTOMS TARIFF AND TAXES LAW

By the order of the Management of the Ulaanbaatar Customs on 2 January 2017, the Administration Unit in collaboration with the Risk Management, Statistics, and Information Technology unit organized a training on 4-6 January 2017 with an aim to provide a uniform understanding for the customs officers and senior officers in charge of customs clearance documents, classification and valuation due to the revisions that became effective in the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.

The Director General of the Customs General Administration issued a decree A/61 in 2016 to appoint a working group to draft the revisions to the Law on Customs based on research and analysis carried out throughout the customs organization.

Today Ulaanbaatar Customs held its first meeting under its new management. The meeting was attended by the entire staff and the Director B.Batgerel made a statement regarding the lessons learnt from last year and the goals for going forward.
