GTI WEBINAR SERIES AND ONLINE TRAINING ON “PROJECT WRITING SKILLS UNDER THE GTI FRAMEWORK” FOR GTI MONGOLIAN FOCAL POINTS

    GIZ SRECA is supporting the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI) Mongolian Focal Points since 2011. Within this cooperation GIZ SRECA organised several regular meetings and training organised for GTI Mongolian Focal Points (FPs). As a direct result of these events, the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA) developed and introduced the project proposal on “Promotion of SMEs‘ Production by enhancing GTI members and the implementation of inward and outward processing procedures” to the GTI Customs Sub Committee in 2019.Then, the project proposal was approved by all GTI member countries and started implementing in 2020. During the special COVID 19 situation, GIZ SRECA continued facilitating its activities for reaching GTI Mongolian FPs via using internet communication and online facilities. This time, a series of online training on “Project writing skills within the GTI framework” to improve skills of GTI Mongolian FPs was organised successfully on 11, 13 and 20 May 2020. About 22 officers from MCGA and Institute for Strategic Studies (ISS) under the Security Council of Mongolia participated in the online training.“APPLICATIO Training & Management GmbH” conducted and managed the online training and explained the project writing techniques as well as provided advice and coaching service for assignments that were project proposals developed by each team. As a result, about seven project proposal drafts including “Single window system”, “Exchange trade information via online appraoches”, “Cooperation among border-checking organisations of neighbouring countries”, “Pre-decisions of goods”, “Survey on GTI economic advantage” and “GTI Governance” were developed.In the future, GIZ SRECA will continue to further cooperate with the GTI Mongolian FPs for further promoting regional cooperation with GTI member countries while focusing on their capacity development as well as project writing skills under the GTI framework.
